What is man’s power? What is a woman’s power? What happens if your power is revealed? How can power and peace co-exist?
COMMITMENT…
…is the Fifth of the 7 Universal Core Values and derives from the prohibition against sexual misconduct such as Adultry and pre-marital sex.

Is Your Body really Yours?

Our BODY is actually on loan, it does not belong to us. It is like an expensive luxury automotive that we borrow from our Friend to make a trip. We are careful to take the best care of this vehicle because we know we must return it to our dear Friend who so graciously loaned it to us. While this vehicle is in our possession we drive it carefully, fill it with the right kind of fuel, keep in clean inside and out and even park it in only in safe places so that when returning it we’re not embarrassed or even liable for not having taken care of this expensive piece of machinery that was loaned to us in good faith.
HEALTH…
…is the third of the 7 Universal Core Values which derives from the prohibition to murder.
The Chassidic Masters have taught us that the physical body actually comes from a higher spiritual source than our souls. In the days of truth, when the shadows of darkness no longer conceal The Divine Presence in this physical world, it will be known that the soul came down to the physical existence so it could receive additional life force that comes from our physical bodies. With this we now understand that our bodies are not just the beast that our souls must bridal to not want to just satisfy its physical desires to eat, drink and be merry…our bodies when aligned to the 7 Universal Core Values will reveal a light which is greater even than that of the soul.
Some points to think about in light that “our body” is really given to us only “on-loan” and we are accountable to return it to the Life Giver:
- “Health” as the 3rd of the 7 Universal Core Values comes from the prohibition to not murder?
- Murder is not just taking a life with a knife, gun or a grenade –if we do not eat properly, exercise regularly, or rest enough, we may actually be committing a slow murder of our own lives.
- Do I have the right to make permanent changes to my body? Can I pierce it anywhere and everywhere? What about tattoos?
- Do I have the right to injure my body through recklessness or for physical pleasures?
- What about allowing our bodies to get overweight?
Post a comment as we’d would like to know your perspectives on this.
