ACCOUNT-ABILITY versus Fence Sitter

Portraying a fence sitter comes to my mind a paradox image; of a horse that elegantly gallops over fences and obstacles. Mankind does exactly the opposite of a horse in a race. So many times, we straddle the fence. We do not count on our ability of galloping over the fence and reach or focus in the righteous of our life race.

It’s so much easier to watch the wild world from the top of our fence without being involved than to be devoted to a way of life where goodness is our pathway.

Definitely, the word commitment is not a lonely word.

I would say is a communal word. It is a communal word because it envelops all the 7 cores for a better life.

Being committed to respect, honesty, compassion, health will require accountabity, which will result a better quality of daily life.

Thinking of man and woman as a society or in a personal level of relationship, man and/or woman’s power must be committed to respect; otherwise there will be a tremendous distance and unwise dispute among man and woman.

I don’t think power shall be revealed because the mystery of finding and subdue such power is what shapes us a human beings.

Power and peace can co-exist only if we are willing to be connected to the Divine and accept and respect each other on daily basis.

COM-MIT-MENT

  WO-MAN

     MAN

       SEX
    CO-EXIST

Celism

When life pass-over

Springtime is a very powerful season of the year. Spring blooms flowers, revives thoughts, memories, and hearts.
Spring is a time for cleaning house, and most important cleansing our inner Ark: A renewal of our Ark is in demand. Summer comes and shines our Ark, fall comes and clouds our Ark, and winter comes and snows down our Ark.
Life is a season that pass-over. Life and death walk together.
Spring is a time of spiritual celebration: It is time to leave our Egypt and visit our Jerusalem.
Spring is time for each of us to pledge a vow of renewal. Renewal our Ark and prepared our Ark for the next eternal season.

Dearest Rabbi Yossi,Moshe, and Chana,
Thank you so very much for these classes. I am learning so much. May you all be blessed with everything good. I pray that you continue to soar upon the wings of eagles. They that wait upon the L-RD shall renew their strength, they shall walk and not be weary, and they will run and not faint. Go from strength to strength my dear friends.
With holy love,

Commitment.

What a great subject to be covering for the upcoming lecture.
Making a life long commitment with your spouse, the one that we love is one of the greatest satisfactions in life. However, the reality is that a small percentage of us have a natural G-d given talent for it--the rest of us have to learn how to make it happen on an ongoing basis.

I do not pertain to be an expert in that regard. The fact is I consider myself to be a life long student. I too am actively seeking the answer “how is it done?” How do we keep a marriage vibrant healthy and a live this way for years and years?

So, I figured, as with all desirable good things in this world, one is requires to actively be seeking them out. Therefore, I took a look at those who preceded me, and are successful, see how they did it and what can I learn from them. Upon searching for the answer and looking at a number of couples with long-lasting loving relationships, I found they all have a common denominator including but not limited to--unconditional love and acceptance of one's partner in life, the way he or she is.

Here are some points that that I found which are common to most long lasting relationships.

1. If we are ever angry at each other, we will make it a point to apologize and make up quickly with out letting to much time to elapse. I figured since we are going to live together anyway for the rest of our lives, why not make the journey a pleasant one.

2. Another skill good couples seemed to have acquired is -- the ability to promptly address and deal with the disagreements that arise between us. Imagine that you are traveling on a freeway (at 70 mails an hour or the speed of life), and come to a fork in the road. If I take the wrong lane, I may end up many miles away from where I meant to be. Therefore, the same way is with complex relationship problems. The earlier I realize my mistake, the easier it is to fix.

3. Another way is to be pro-active and do not wait for the relationship to go sour and then find a solution. Instead, be pro-active, reading books and attending workshops and lectures on relationship like this one, constantly think of things you can say and do for each other to make him or her feel loved. The truth is there is a lot to be said about this rule, the idea that "if it is not broken, don't fix it", does not apply to relationships in my opinion. By constantly learning to improve our relationship skills, and by doing small acts of goodness and kindness for our spouse, we can continually improve our relationship.

So the fact that that sometimes I don't feel like doing some of what I put down here is itself a sign of how necessary it is for our relationship and to immediately begin doing acts of love and kindness for my spouse. As the Universal rule goes, the more you do, the more you will feel like doing. Try it -- it works!
